Propping and needling solutions for building refurbishments

When it comes to building renovation, a supported structure is essential, especially when it comes to projects involving older properties. Altrad RMD Kwikform provides propping and needling solutions for all of your refurbishment project requirements.

Our propping solutions enable you to lift the structure and support heavy loads, while our needling solutions give you better support of the wall. Both of these solutions work together to enable the removal of old foundations or walls.

No project is too big or small for our engineers. Altrad RMD Kwikform’s qualified team of experts will work with you to provide the best propping and needling systems, to help ensure the structural support of your project.

Key considerations

  • Accessibility
One of the factors that can largely impact needling and propping schemes is accessibility. If you have access to both sides, the ability to drill holes directly through the walls and the space to place supporting props, then the solution can be easily installed easily. If you are only able to access a single side of the structure, the needling and propping system required will be more complex.
  • Structure weight
Another factor that needs to be considered is the weight of the structure being supported. This is especially important if your project will open a space below a floor that contains joists for the floor above. In this situation, you will need to account for any weight supported by those joists, to ensure the structural integrity for the floor itself is retained.
